Having surpassed the retirement age, I still derive great satisfaction from my work with Chevron Traffic Management on the highways. The company’s unwavering commitment to employee safety and training is exceptional. I am married and a father of four, and while I hold no favouritism, I have chosen my grandchildren Max and Mia, whose names and characters perfectly reflect the spirit of this story. However, I dedicate this book to everyone who has experienced the “life gets in the way” syndrome and to all grandparents, whose wisdom, love, and support enrich our families and guide the younger generation.
